Guest Welcome Cart

Aug 18, 2016 | Posted by Lindsey | Entertaining | 19 comments |

The idea for a Guest Welcome Cart has been on my mind for awhile, but I couldn’t justify the $80price tag forthe cart. When John stumbled across one for under $30 and I was sold! Welove hosting and this cart is exactly what Iwanted to makeour guests feel welcome and at home.

Stay Awhile: GuestWelcome Cart

The first thingI wanted in this cart was a sign with our wifi password on it. Every time someone comes over to the housethey always ask what our wifi password is and every time I look at them with a blank look on my face! Geezzz! Why is that so hard for me to remember? We actually have a guest staying with us right now for a month and she already complimented the sign! YAY!

Now for the fun part! I filled this cute basket with m&m’s (our guest’s candy of choice), toothbrush, brand new razor, bobby pins, hair ties, dry shampoo, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, cotton pads, q-tips, floss, and beauty samples of moisturizer and face wash. Throughout the year, I save all the beauty and free samples I get and use them to fill the basket each time a guest comes to stay. I love that it adds a special touch to the cart and is great in case they forgot to pack something!

Entertaining, hosting, host, guest, home, our home, welcome, guest welcome cart, hospitality, stay awhile, our messy tableI added a mason jar of fresh flowers and a chalkboard sign that says “help yourself,” so our guests know that everything on the cart is for them, if they need or want it.

I filled the bottom of the cart withclean towels, a brand new bar of soap, and bottles of water. It is always so awkward when you get thirsty in the middle of the night and don’t want to wake the house up trying to stumble around to find a glass to get some water. This has happened to me before, so I always include water bottles for my guests now. LOL!

Fall Home Tour – Metal, Cream, & Grapevine

Nov 24, 2015

IMG_9200.JPG This year on a whim I decided to completely change my typical fall color scheme of warm tone oranges, browns, and maroons & instead channeled my inner Joanna Gaines by incorporating metal pumpkins, an old window, wood and a ton of grapevine. Oh and lots of cotton! Seriously, there could never be enough cotton. Then I finished the look off with little touches of silver throughout. Here's a look at my 2015 Fall Home Tour!

Thank you Jennifer!! Aww how fun! I really love it. Our guest bathroom isn’t very big, so I am not able to put out the towels and bath stuff in a cute way haha. So, this little cart was PERFECT!

I love this guest cart! I make little baskets with water and frame the wifi password, but having a cart would be so convenient and organized! So gotta take a cue from this.
