With 2017 creeping up, I decided to pick a word to describe what I want to strive towards this year. I chose BOLD. I am not bold by nature and tend to dwell, overthink, and worry about every.little.thing. I want 2017 to be a bold year for me – where I take chances, allow myself to dream, and as weird as it sounds wear bolder lipstick.

This post is really like a ” current beauty favorites” post as well as a Stocking Stuffer Beauty Favorites, because all of these products are things I own, love, and would recommend to any of my friends. Happy Holidays! The weather is freezing in Houston right now y’all. ( Okay, not literally and to some you will laugh out loud when I say it is 47 degrees, but to us here in Houston – that is COLD.) I am trying not to complain too much though, last Christmas it was in the 90’s and this year, I ACTUALLY get to wear cute and cozy sweaters and ponchos (cue the happy dance!)

It is finally getting to be sweater weather ( at least in the evenings ) here in Texas! & I am fully embracing all things Fall right now. Bring on all the s’mores & cold-shoulder sweaters!

This year will be our third year to host Friendsgiving for John’s Younglife volunteer team. & I will be blogging the whole thing. Yay! We are going to be sharing delicious recipes, décor, the table setting, and of course – what really matters, the outfit! To kick off the festivities, I found the PERFECT burgundy dress for Friendsgiving and/or Thanksgiving this year!
